What is it?

A Perfect Clear is where you clear every single block on your board. This opener gives you an ~85% chance to get a Perfect Clear. To build this opener, you have to stack your L-piece, J-piece, and O-piece in such a way that it creates a 4x4 square. Make sure you put this square on either the left side or the right side of your board. Then, you need to place a T-piece vertically on the side opposite of your 4x4 square. Then, you tuck the S/J piece under the sideways T-piece, and place the J/S piece ontop of the T-piece, creating a gap in the middle of your playfield. How you fill this gap and create a Perfect Clear is up to how well you are at either memorizing or creating flat stacks. A Perfect Clear sends 10 lines of attack, but it is very easy for your opponent to counter, so that's why it isn't widely used.

Continuations

There is a few continuations of the Perfect Clear Opener. One is a 2-height PC, which has a 2% chance of occurring. There's also a way to infinitely create Perfect Clears, but that's only if you deticated many hours of your life to memorizing piece combonations (I'm not very good at perfect clear memorization). If a Perfect Clear isn't possible, then there's some recoveries that you can do to minimize the damage. You can create a simple 4-line Tetris clear, a T-Spin Double, or a T-Spin Triple. Usually, I can do the T-Spin Triple recovery, and that sends a good attack, which is why it's my favorite. For more information, please visit the four.lol PCO wiki page.
