TKI 3

What is it?

TKI 3 is an opener that creates one T-Spin Double in the first 7 pieces of play. To do the TKI opener, you first need to start with an early I-piece. If you don't have an early I-piece, then you cannot do this opener. You have to place the I-piece flat in the center of the playfield. Then, you create an overhang by placing a red Z-piece or a green S-piece on top of the I-piece. To complete the T-Spin setup, you need to place a blue J-piece or an orange L-piece vertically in the corner that has the overhang. If you used a Z-piece, then you will use an L-piece to complete the T-Spin setup, and if you used an S-piece, then you will place an L-piece in the corner.

Continuations

This opener has a plethora of continuations that can increase your efficiency in the Tetris match. For example, the Castle Top variation creates a chance for a Perfect Clear which can send an attack of 10 lines, or an Imperial Cross which is two consecutive T-Spins. If you build the opener with a flat top, placing the J/L piece ontop of the S/Z piece, then you have tons of options when it comes to continuing your game. With the Flat Top variation, you can create a second T-Spin Double, an LST stack (infinite T-Spin Doubles, good for score but not attack), an Imperial Cross, two T-Spin Triples, and more.
